Day 1 – Departure from the United States

Theme: Walking in the Spirit of St. Francis

  • Departure from the United States on an overnight flight to Rome
  • Personal prayer and reflection during travel

As we begin this pilgrimage during the Franciscan Jubilee Year, we entrust our journey to the intercession of St. Francis of Assisi. Like him, we leave behind the familiar to seek Christ more deeply.


Day 2 – Arrival in Rome | Santa Maria Maggiore

Theme: Entrusting Our Pilgrimage to Our Lady

  • Arrival in Rome in the morning
  • Transfer to the hotel
  • Time to rest and refresh
  • Visit to the Basilica of St. Mary Major (Santa Maria Maggiore)
  • Time for prayer
  • Welcome Dinner
  • Opening prayer


Day 3 – Ancient Rome & Baroque Rome

Theme: From Persecution to Mission

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Morning guided tour of:
    • Colosseum
    • Roman Forum
    • Palatine Hill
  • Holy Mass at the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola
  • Afternoon walking tour of:
    • Trevi Fountain
    • Spanish Steps
    • Pantheon
    • Piazza Navona
  • Dinner at a local restaurant near Piazza Navona


Day 4 – Vatican City & Papal Audience

Theme: Communion with the Universal Church

  • Early departure from hotel at 5:00 AM
  • Participation in the Papal Audience
  • Guided visit to St. Peter’s Basilica
  • Visit to the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel
  • Free time for lunch

Day 5 – Rome to Assisi

Theme: In the Footsteps of St. Francis

  • Travel to Assisi
  • Visit to the Basilica of St. Francis
  • Veneration at the Tomb of St. Francis
  • Holy Mass in Assisi
  • Lunch in Assisi
  • Visit to Santa Maria degli Angeli (Portiuncula)
  • Check-in at hotel
  • Dinner

Day 6 – St. Clare & Blessed Carlo Acutis | Return to Rome

Day 7 – Sunday Angelus & Major Basilicas

    • Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls

Day 8 – Return Home
